This Privacy Policy explains how Higor Rodrigues Torres da Silva ("Bivia", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects personal data when you use Bivia, including the Bivia mobile application, websites, support channels, subscriptions, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Summary

Bivia is an educational study app for veterinary anatomy and related health and life science topics. Bivia is not a medical device and is not intended for diagnosis, treatment, patient care, emergency use, or clinical decision-making.

We collect data to provide accounts, authentication, study progress sync, subscriptions, purchase validation, offline access, app functionality, analytics, security, support, and crash reporting.

We do not currently sell personal data. We do not currently use personal data for cross-app tracking, third-party targeted advertising, or advertising measurement in the iOS app. If we add advertising SDKs, Meta Pixel/App Events, or similar tracking or advertising measurement technologies in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy, update the App Store privacy disclosures, and request consent where required by law or platform rules.

The current iOS app does not use App Tracking Transparency, IDFA-based advertising, AdMob, Meta SDK/App Events, Meta Pixel inside the app, or third-party advertising networks.

We do not currently link user or device data collected from the iOS app with data from other companies' apps, websites, or offline properties for targeted advertising or advertising measurement, and we do not currently share user or device data with data brokers.

If we add advertising, retargeting, Meta Pixel/App Events, advertising measurement, or similar tracking technologies in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and our App Store privacy disclosures before or at the time of that change, and we will ask for consent where required.

We may process and store data in countries other than your country of residence, including Brazil, the United States, the European Economic Area, and other locations where we or our service providers operate.

You may cancel app store subscriptions through your Apple Account, Google Play account, or applicable app store subscription settings. Deleting your Bivia account or deleting the app does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

Deleting your account may delete or de-identify account-linked study progress, preferences, and profile data, subject to legal, security, billing, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, app store, and operational retention requirements.

Subscription cancellation is separate from account deletion. To avoid future charges, cancel your subscription in your app store account settings.

12. Children's Privacy

Bivia is intended for students, professionals, and users interested in veterinary anatomy and related educational topics. It is not directed to children under 13 years old or the minimum age required by your jurisdiction.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children where parental consent is required. If you believe a child provided personal data without required consent, contact us at suporte@getbivia.com and we will take appropriate steps.

If you are under the age required to consent to data processing in your jurisdiction, use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

No system is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for using a secure device and network.

The Service may link to third-party websites, app stores, authentication providers, payment systems, support tools, or other services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices except where required by law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as through the app, website, or other appropriate means.

The updated Privacy Policy will be effective when posted unless a later date is stated. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date means you acknowledge the updated Privacy Policy.
